Fish Protein Isolate

I was just thinking this yesterday. If they can make good quality protein from cows and plants and rice etc.. why can't they make a salmon isolate? hmmm

That sounds really disgusting...

I know it's made, I found some distributors online while searching for fruit powders. I would think it would make a nice supplement, not a complete different type, to add in small amounts for either the fatty acids and some of the other nutrients in fish like phosphorous, iodine, B-12. A good protein for an MRP or Night shake, not PWO.

I have looked into fish protein. I have gotten samples before. It really does taste like you ground up fish in a blender and made a shake. Very nasty...I think I would rather drink straight up 520 than fish protein.

Equally difficult in that because of the strong odor it would cause major problems where we mix and blend the proteins. It would most likely contaminate my blending area and equipment.

But I love the idea of fish protein. I wish I could incorporate it. Maybe one day a manufacturer could find a way to elimate the odor and harsh taste.

Ok, sounds disastrous (i've taken 520 straight up before), hopefully someone will get something figured. Just curious, has anyone tried making chicken protein? Just curious.

Fish and chicken have too many obstacles to overcome to make them readily available powdered protein sources.

In a sense, I find it better for me to have to really on real food for a good mixture of protein ... eating chicken, fish, beef, lamb, etc keeps my digestive system active, able, and ready to digest real food. After all, this is what our stomachs and intestines were built to do.

Alternate protein drinks with meals of veggies and real proteins (I have been eating a lot of salmon lately, after doing more research on the benefits of fish-derived Omega 3's) is the ideal way to go IMO.

Omega's is as far as I go with fish. Maybe some shrimp and lobster, but thats it. I ate so much tuna a few years during my last bulk that I can no longer look at the can. The (hold on, I almost threw up) sad thing is, I could mix it with anything and really enjoy it. But this time around, I'd rather meet Joe Rogan and eat pig intestine rather then a can of tuna.

There is no way I could imagine putting this in a blender and sitting down to enjoy a 16 oz cold glass of fish protein juice

Although, I bet you could cap this and market it as the new number #1 aftermarket PH.

And then there's people like me who are allergic to lobster, shrimp, tuna, and salmon. You'd have to keep all your processing equipment separate, etc. Would probably be a bit of a hassle. And imagine if someone got the wrong thing...
