Problems placing banner links

Hey all.

I am having problems placing my banner adds using the MySpace website. Let me explain the way I attempted to place my links and hopefully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong and the what I need to do so that my profile page doesn't simply state "Violation of Terms of Policy" in the area's where I placed the web links.

To add the links to my MySpace page, I simply copied and pasted the html codes directly into the various area's where you can input information aka Movies, Television Shows, etc. This worked when I previously modified my profile to add music players from Project Playlist ... I don't know why I can't do this / get around this.

I am using a background provided by Coolchasers ... could this be the problem, or has MySpace programmed it so that users can not insert their own banner ads?

I decided to read through MySpaces "Terms and Conditions" statement, to try to learn why I wasn't able to place my banner add ... this is the section of the MySpace policy statement that I think is violated by placing the adds:

5. Use by Members. The MySpace Services are for the personal use of Members and may be used for promotional purposes as well, but direct commercial endeavors may only be used if they are specifically endorsed or authorized by MySpace. MySpace reserves the right to remove commercial content in its sole discretion. Illegal and/or unauthorized use of the MySpace Services, including collecting usernames, user id numbers, and/or email addresses of Members by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email or unauthorized framing of or linking to the MySpace Website, or employing third party promotional sites or software to promote profiles for money, is prohibited. Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and other forms of unauthorized solicitation may be removed from Member profiles without notice or explanation and may result in termination of Membership privileges. MySpace reserves the right to take appropriate legal action for any illegal or unauthorized use of the MySpace Services.

that sucks, the same thing happened to mine. I also tried putting it on my Photography website and it didn't show up.

I have been using Face Book with no issues- I have pasted the link and post it daily

But the problem I am having is, when I sign in, it brings me to the forgot password page enter your email.

So I fill out the registration page and hit enter, it says that I already have an account registered. So I try agian and same thing.

too add- do i have to create another ID for the affiliate program?

I wonder if that may be the problem. In any event, I have not rec'd anything from facebook saying I cant put the link up or put pictures of the PF yet.

So, you guys might want to go to face book, seems to be easier then my space

hey surf, I have to check this tomorrow. Dont have my info at home, left it at work. But if I remember after you create your profile, the tab next to home, think that is where you can start leaving message with pics etc- there is a place on the page to enter a URL- when you put in the PF web address, the home page of PF will appear in the little box with the slogan.

If you get a lot of friends who leave msgs to you everyday, then you will simply have to re-type it in again.

Im still having issues with getting an account so I am not sure where you would place the banner, im simply doing the above. I am not sure if this will keep track of how many leads to the PF this will give. So dont hold me to it

Your affliate ID is going to be different than anything else. So technically you can have 3 different users ID's and passwords associated with proteinfactory.com

1) your registered ID for purchasing products
2) your ID for this message board
3) your ID for the affliate program.

Granted YOU could have made them all the same, but thats your secret.

If you have NOT been approved for an account yet, that means you have just failed to show the exact URL for where the banner is going. www.facebook.com does NOT work. we have to see your profile page on facebook.
