flax oil

You might be aware to the fact that we carry a flax powder. this product comes from barleans and is approximately 15% fat. Not very good. Granted you get the benefits from the flax seed, but as muscle seeking persons we are really looking to get the FAT from flax, the omega 3's. At 15% fat this means you really arent getting much to do anything. I rarely recommend this flax powder becaue really it doesnt do much good. In the past I have looked into companies that make flax oil powder. THis is similar to the MCT powder I sell. What happens with this product is that a company will take the oil and spray dry it into a powder. This unfortunately is probably the worse thing you can do to the flax. Right off the bat you have a rancid product. Flax Oil powder is just no good and should not be used to get your fat. Thus,you are much better off getting flax oil and adding it to you protein shake. Personally I dont like the taste of flax oil. I think it ruins my shake. Not only that but flax oil is highly suseptable to going rancid. You know it goes rancid by the bad smell.

Over the years we have been unable to offer our customers a source of omega 3's to add to their custom protein mixes. And as you might know omega 3 fatty acids have a ton of good muscle building and fat loss properties. Don't a lot of people just buy the rolled flax seeds and incorporate them into their oatmeal or something? Seems I've read about that. So far, I've been getting my omega 3's from fish oil capsules; but I've thought about trying to work some flax product in.

Will this new flax powder be less gritty than the current? If so, I am all for it and sure I will love it. I tried the current flax powder and didn't care the added "texture" in my shake but understand those wanting to drink some fiber would welcome it. Presently I add a twin oil mix of flax and borage oils to give the right balance of omegas and down a lot of fish oil gels every day. I can't even tell the difference with the added flax/boage oil and yet when I tried the hemp oil in my shake, I could not take the taste at all.. guess I'm just saying that if you don't like flax oil in your shakes and like the new powder then I am really looking forward to it as it probably doesn't taste at all. A lot of new products soon to be offered... I'll give another plug for the vegi/fruit powder too...

heres a pic of the new flax/fish powder. Its not going to be as course...as the flax powder we carry right now. its "chunky" because its 50% fat. Just its a fine, fine powder. It almost reminds me of a WPC powder
