I've used many shaker cups in the past (10+ different styles). I thought the Buchsteiner MixChamp was the best. This is what I have found:

1) For me, an agitator of some sort works best. Without an agitator, no matter what shape the bottle is and how much you shake to try to use the shape of the bottle to mix the shake, you still get clumps.

2) Leak proof is hard to come by. The spout is not a problem for me but I shake my bottle a lot since I hate clumps. I've very much on the go so my shakes are usually made somewhere on the road or in my car. If it's not leak proof, it gets all over my dress clothes and my car. A no no!

3) Pop-off tops don't work either because of the whole fact that you're flinging liquid all over the place trying to get the top off safely.

The original comment that started the thread asked about the Buchsteiner MixMaster. The only difference I could tell between the MixChamp and the MixMaster is the spout which is round instead of oval. I prefer the oval spout of the MixChamp since the shake is less likely to spill out the sides of your mouth since the oval shapes fits your lips better than a round spout. Other than that, it looks the same to me.

A lot of forum members recommended the BlenderBottle but that thing leaks on me as much as some other cheapo plastic bottles. Right where the seam screws into the rest of the cup, it dribbles. Might as well buy a dribble glass from one of those magic shops. I've used the 28 oz. bottle since the 20 oz. bottle is not big enough to hold the recommended water and powder.

For those of you that have tried the BlenderBottle since ProteinFactory has switched over to this bottle now and have tried the older Buchsteiner MixChamp bottle, tell me I'm smoking crack because I have a problem with the shake dribbling with the BlenderBottle. I think the Buchsteiner MixChamp is the superior bottle for less shake on your clothes. You still have the danger of the spout cover having a drop or two of shake but a lot less than the dribbling from the screw top seam of the BlenderBottle. I've never had the Buchsteiner MixChamp bottle leak on me from the screw top seam unless I didn't screw it tight enough before shaking but that's my fault and not the bottle's fault.

Anyone use a bottle that is better than both of these? lestat02882 mentioned the lever tops that are common in camping but those camping bottles don't have agitators to mix the powder. Maybe someone knows of a camping bottle that does have an agitator.

As far as leak proof,i use rubbermaid.They have an o-ring built into the cap.I use the sport version.Works great,never leaks even after two years.

Got a link to the sport version? The ones I found on Amazon look pretty cheap and reviews said they leak at the cap.

No,sorry i don't.I bought them at Target.What makes 'em a ''sport'' version is you screw on the cap and there's a flip up top so you don't have to unscrew the top.And the flip up top snaps on and off very tight and snugly.Its also built into the cap.I have about 12 of them cause they work so well(sometimes i cant get to the dishes,so i make sure i have enough lol).The only downside is they cost $5 for each,or you can get a two pack for the same price sometimes.

You could also take the ball from your Blender Bottle and put it in one of the Rubbermaid bottles to get the best of both worlds. Awesome, leak-proof mixing. (I do that.)

I'll just throw in that you're not smoking crack. I feel like I got a blenderbottle when PF first switched over and I thought it was awesome. I don't remember any leaking. Of course, the last few that I have owned just spill all over the place to the point it's ridiculous. The problem would stop if there was an o-ring for the BlenderBottle but there isn't.

Anyone ordered an oring separetly and know what size is correct...I may just use that as a fix. The sport bottle sounds promising too especially if you just use the agitator with it.

Take your shaker cup to Lowes,Home Depot,ACE,and see if you can find one.O-rings in Lowes are in plumbing/sink repair.I showed an employee my shaker cup..she took it and came back 10 minutes later with one that fit.I dont know where she got it/department.
