NSF Certification?

Alex,

Was reading a interesting article on banned substances found in off the shelve bodybuilding products and they talked about NSF International. Have you heard of this certification process? Just throwing it out there as perhaps a good business move to get this certification?
The only drawback I would imagine is the price they charge for there certification process!

NSF is a private organization that tests manufacturing facilities, like mine. I feel there is no need for NSF when I have the FDA here all the time. Secondly Im way to small for the NSF. If I was selling like 100million a year then yea maybe I would do it. New Jersey and New York are the toughest states when it comes to inspections. Its states like Alabama and Montana who probably NEVER have FDA agents make surprise inspections. Therefore if you are a manufacturing and you want some sort of certification that you are GMP compliant, you would call NSF and they would come out and certify you that you are GMP compliant. The FDA does that for me for free, so I have no need to call NSF. And yes, we are GMP compliant , certified by the FDA.

Thanks for the honest answer, I'm up in Canada but I bet the FDA guys do not go near those two states because everybody owns a gun!!
