Protein "Shots" = catabolic supplement!!

These products are sold in vials. Usually they will put 3 oz of liquid into one vial and stuff in 42 grams of protein. Some will even be called "Whey Protein" Shot. But this is very deceptive and I'll tell you why.

These products are not 100% whey protein. As a matter of fact I highly doubt they containe even 10 grams of whey protein.

take a look at an ingredient deck I found from one of these so-called "Whey Shots"

See the first protein ingredient, Collagen Protein. Collagen Protein or otherwise known as hydrolyzed gelatin is a nasty protein, that can even cause net protein LOSS in the body. Hydrolyzed collagen comes from a very nasty and disgusting source. Animal by-products!! Most of it is derived from the skin of pigs.

Hydrolyzed collagen lacks essential amino acids giving this protein a biological value of ZERO, nada ZIP!!

I highly recommend NOT using these products as they are a complete scam and ripoff. If you do use them they could even cause you to go into a catabolic state!!

And the supplement company's that make these products should be ashamed of themselves.

so why do they use hydrolyzed collagen/gelatin. Because you cannot make a whey protein RTD with 42 grams of protein in only 3 oz. it is physically impossible. so the scum bag supplement companies use hydrolyzed collagen, dust in some whey protein for label claim and sell it to unsuspecting consumers.

I knew it.I thought that it was just too little fluid to protein ratio.And when i saw it was nasty protein i was no way gonna buy it.

Two years ago I posted on bodybuilding.com a question about collagenic protein, and was told that the whey was added to complete the amino acid profile of the collagen or some other bullshit like that .

I think I'll stick with my custom mixes and deal with the "hassle" of carrying a shaker bottle and small containers of protein around with me.

The golds gym i go to sells these now and they cant keep them in stock.I see dudes downing them pre,during,and post workout and i dont know whats in 'em but they have a really strong sweet smell to them Now it smells like sweettarts in my gym.

What a waste. My golds gym sells them too, but for how much I do not know, but if someone is downing them at this rate, that is almost ten bucks a workout.

They are always being promoted in the muscle magazines too. Horrible stuff. I had a buddy that I helped out with protein from here, and he told me he spend 60+ dollars on NO products.

If you search best protein powder on google, you will see bullshit sites comparing whey concentrate, and then point out which one is the best. It always has 1 gram of carbs or 1 gram of lactose less than the others, and is a hair cheaper by the pound. That is the only whey protein people even know about.

A little WPC, a few protein shots, a little NO... This is nuts, no wonder people "need" steroids.

The muscle magazines are a gateway and are responsible for the noobs using muscle tech and other horrible stuff.I haven't looked through one in ages.I'll pick one up if a workout looks interesting on the cover.But i feel that if i buy it then all those bastards like muscletech get my/even more money.I know,it sounds stupid lol.
