Vitargo

Can anyone tell me if you can just put this in a shaker cup with your protein? And do you have to use all the water it calls for?

Thats a good question because the solubility might factor in the equation of the absorption rate. but that could be for athletes that might be using it for rehydration during like a marathon or something. So depending on what you are using it for could determine how much water you add to powder.

Having used Vitargo for a year or so now, I can say that what you want to do is follow the directions on the container.

Mix it in with about eight ounces of lukewarm water and shake. Then, add the remainder of water once the vitargo is dispersed into solution. If you do not use twenty ounces of water the vitargo is going to be thick and syrupy.

You can add your protein to it, but my adivce is to mix the vitargo into solution first then add your protein.

I add Pepto Pro in with vitargo and it does not have any problem mixing, nor does a custom blend of hydrolyzed protein I use too, but I cannot speak to other types of protein since I only use vitargo around my workouts and oatmuscle for all other times.

But vitargo can be tempermental and if you use the unflavored which does not have any maltodextrin in it, it can get clumpy if you do not use lukewarm water.

Man, this stuff sounds like a pain in the ass...is it worth it?

I think so.

Where can you get vitargo for relatively cheap? Also, is the S2 version from genr8 worth the extra money, or is there a site that prices it more reasonably?

I have been buying mine from GNC believe it or not. I always look for their sales which seem to be happening with greater frequency and I usually pick it up on sale for around 18 bucks a tub, which is ten servings.

It is still kinda pricey at that but I think it is worth it.

hate to even mention the site, but since Alex has some PF products for sale, I guess its ok

look at BB.Com, they sometimes offer some specials. they have a 25 serving for 59 right now. I have not seen this size at my local Generic Nutrition Center

oh also, I have mixed this with night formula and casein. truth be told, mixing two heavy compounds leads to a heavy mix!

During my gaining time, i mix this with 16 ounces of milk. slowly pour into the blender, then slowly add protein. you may want to add more milk/water depending on what you mix it with.

love this at night time after a workout and 1 right before bed.
