Hi,
I recently ordered a custom blend of 70% CFM whey isolate and 30% 520.
Forgot to check that the 520 has 4g carbs per 30g serving = LACTOSE. =bad stomach cramps/bloating.
I am severely sensitive to lactose in protein powders.
Would a better option be to replace the 520 with the 1400 as it has 0 g carbs per serving, hence it should contain zero lactose.
The analysis of the1400 states that it consists of:
Pro: 86.5%
Ash: 3.1%
Moisture: 4.3%
Fat: 3.8%
Total percentage: 97.7% thus the remaining 2.3% must be lactose.
Would this small amount cause me any digestive problems?
I have read that 0.1g of lactose per 20g serving is equivalent to just under 1 cup of yoghurt (www.wheyoflife.org). I can consume a cup of yoghurt/cottage cheese with no problem.
Also, does the 1400 contain the same immune system enhancing fractions as the CFM (alpha lactabumin and glycomactopeptides)?
Also, thanks to Alex and the team at PF for their top quality products. Much better than the previous company that I was purchasing from.
