Heliogen Casein

I'm looking for something to take about 1/2 hour before I go to bed when I'm slightly hunger, would this work and is the chocolate a good one?

Heliogen is a good night time protein. As for the chocolate, it isn't bad, but I would prefer a chocolatier taste.

Agreed. I like the taste though. Overall Heliogen is a clean tasting protein.

I think I'll get some. I was going back and forth on this and assie casein. If you listening to health guru's they say not to take in anything after supper meal which doesn't make sense from I've learned here.

I use this at night and in super chocolate, it's awesome!

What is super chocolate? Is that a special request flavoring? If so, I need to use it during my next chocolate protein order!

Pretty sure they have a button for it in the lab, if not you pick chocolate and then when checking out in the comment box...say you want super chocolate. That's what I have done in the past.

I've tried the Aussie Casein, and it doesn't mix or taste very good; and the texture is pretty clumpy too. If taste and mouthfeel is an issue at all, I'd go with the Heliogen Casein.

I went ahead and ordered it in super chocolate.

Yeah, I've never understood that reasoning. You're fasting for however long it is that you're sleeping, so your body has to get the nutrients it needs from somewhere during that period. In the case of metabolism, there are glycogen and fat stores available. For anabolism (e.g. cell growth, repair and division), there has to be a supply of amino acids, but the only intermediate/long-term stores of these are body's own tissues, particularly muscle.
