Nutritional products expire for 2 reasons.
1) you put an exp date on them because after that you risk the chance of consuming harmful bacteria and other funky things that could make you really sick.
2) potency. Usually potency does not decline over time, with the exception of dietary fats. these products could go rancid, which makes them toxic to use.
Using expired products, especially fats is a bad idea and not worth the risk of saving $10 bucks....
