if anyone surfs, i would like to know how they balance surfing and weightlifting. if i work out heavy with weights (arms and back mostly) and i go surfing the next day i always feel dead in the water and i can't paddle.
now i don't work out (except for legs) a couple days before i know theres going to be a swell. this kinda puts me back in my training though. it hasn't been too bad this winter because we've had mostly small e/se wind swells followed by strong offshores which kills the waves and results in a couple days of fun surf.
how should i balance this though? and what should my pre and post surf diet consist of?
