The Reps need your help ! lol

Here is another post from another forum about a new bill on supplements. Of course the thread was started by a rep from a company that has had some issues in the past with some of the products the company has sold.

Yea this comes from a company that got about 1 million dollars of his shit seized by the feds. I guess he didnt get the memo that prohormones are illegal to sell.

Listen, I dont like control as much as the next guy, but the fact of the matter remains that its the supplement company's owe fault for the FDA coming down on them. I mean come on, look at hydroxycut for christ sake. these supplement company's products all suck and dont work (and they know that) so they toss in real drugs to make them work. From the biggest supplement company's like Iovate (owns muscle tech and a bunch others) to small mambi pambi company's. they have nobody to blame but themselves. what's that saying. you gotta sleep in the bed you make....anyone???

Alex, what are some key words when looking for prohormones in a product?

While I agree with the intent of the law, "Pandora's Box" is always opened when it comes to restricting freedom's.

Well, this is a good question because what Alex is saying is true, some supplement companies will sell a "hot" batch of supplements that contain off-label ingredients.

But in general, any supplement with a 17, 19, a or b, methyl, nor, estra, iene, ione in the nomenclature means that it has some sort of hormonal activity.

You really have to be careful with what you buy over that counter, and I agree with Alex whole heartedly, the FDA is not after your GNC mega man vitamins or vitamin D, echinacea, etc., they are after companies that are inserting drugs into supplements and circumventing the whole approval process.

Overall, the industry is really shady.

I don't like the government getting involved in a lot of things, but I also don't like manufacturers sneaking drugs into supplements and exposing consumers to unknown risks.
