Oat question for Alex

On your thread regarding the email of the day you mentioned Oat Flour and Oat Starch, referencing them as two different things. What's the difference? I always thought they were the same thing; as well as FAR inferior to Oat Muscle. And let me add this, I admit to trying Oat Starch from another company, it is HORRIBLE. Tastes like crap and mixes like crap, buyer beware and don't get sucked in because it's a slightly cheaper price, there's a reason for it.

Im not very knowledgable when it comes to carb products, but what I do know is that any grain product (I think) can be made into a starch, flour , or whatever else they can think of. wheat, corn, soy, these are grains, and they have many uses. In your questions case you have starch and flour made from oats.

Now this also goes to show you how freakin retarded the ripoff of company of mine is. The tried to rip off my Oatmuscle. (which is impossible because that is a custom made product). so what they did was find a company that sells oat by products. In this case they found Oat starch. Then they tried to call it something fancy and called it Swedish oat Starch. People dont know any better and buy this because its half the cost of my oatmuscle. but as you can verify the product sucks ass. besides the difficulty to drink it and mix it, oat starch contains resistant carbs. meaning they go in one end and out the other.

oatmuscle on the otherhand is neither a starch or a flour. Its oatmeal powder. oats are processed in a proprietary way and then get processed into a powder. The taste is awesome. and if you get the instant version the mixability is superb. so by this company actually selling oat starch it actually back fires on them. because once the person who buys it tries it they know how bad it sucks. Then they get my oatmuscle and they then find out they just got ripped off.

Same with the waxy maize they sell. This is nothing more than corn starch. in one end and out the other.

Real products take real research and development. oatmuscle is another one. the product that are newest message board member (timmure)found will probably be next.
