Pre workout blend

Honestly, I believe that pre-workout "drinks" are overkill. I prefer to eat a small, easily digested meal of real food, two-ish hours before i workout. Before particularly intense workouts, I also like to ingest a small amount of a legal stimulent (i.e. half of a "five hour energy" shot) 30-60 minutes before workouts starting, but I don't like to do this very often.

As for the "abundant carb" perference, that is fired (IMO) by some peoples desire to achieve a super "pumped" feeling during higher-rep workouts. Greater amounts of carbs also ensure that a person doesn't run out of fuel during a particularly long and/or intense workout.

Each person should experiment for themselves with macronutrient profiles to determine what works for them. Mixing up small 1 lb samples of various protein-carb mixtures would be one way to determine this ... anyone want to buy/experiment & document/report back to the board with the following mixs?

1. 10% Hydro 1400, 15% WPI, 75% rilose
2. 20% hydro 1400, 30% WPI, 50% rilose
3. 30% hydro 1400, 45% WPI. 25% rilose

(note ... the WPI is added to cut the bitter harshness associated with hydrolyzed proteins, while still providing the user with a quickly digested protein source)
