Economical Lactose Free(or close to it) Pre/Post and Slow Protein

Looking for an economical, but most important "Lactose Free", fast and slow digested proteins.

Let me know your experience and what you recommend.

I don't know how much you exactly mean but here are some examples.

Slow:
Heliogen

Fast:
Biofresh
Isochill
Soy XT

Economical, Lactose free, slow digesting proteins:
1. Heliogen Casein - 9.99 /lb - best tasting of Alex's casein family, mixes well (for a casein)
2. Membrane Micellar Casein - 10.99/lb
2. Aussie Casein - 11.24 / lb - highest % casein protein at PF, also mixes well (for a casein)

Economical, Lactose free, fast digesting proteins:
1. Hydrolyzed 1400 - 10.99/lb PF's fastest digesting, lactose-free hydrolyzed whey protein
2. Isochill Whey Isolate - 8.99/lb PF's least expensive, lactose-free whey protein. Still considered a "fast-digesting" protein, but not predigested like the hydrolyzed varieties.

Which to use, which to use ...

1. For fast digesting proteins, if taste is a prime factor for you, I would use PF's Isochill if you plan to make custom mixes. As it isn't listed as one of the proteins in the online custom lab, you will have to either call PF and make your order over the phone (what I do), or make a mix in the lab and then make a comment in the online ordering comment section to substitute Isochill for the protein that you selected when you initially inputed your mix.

If you don't want to customize your protein mixes, save yourself even more money by purchasing PF's 5lb bags of Whey Isolate. At 29.30 each ($5.86/lb), you'd be hard pressed to beat this price anywhere!

2. If you desire the quickest digesting protein post-workout, go with the Hydrolyzed 1400.

3. For slow digesting proteins, I would go with the Heliogen. Heliogen is the least expensive casein at PF, it mixes well (for a casein), and it has a clean taste (again, for a casein).

P.S. I too am lactose intolerant. I have used all of the proteins mentioned above and suffered no gaseous after-effect.
