Hydro Proteins

I have a quick question for all the informatives out there. What is the difference between Hydro 1400 and Hydro 520. I think they help with digestion but what is the difference between the two? Other than the taste?

Hydro 1400 is a hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate i.e. it is 90% protein and contains little else. The Hydro 520 is a hydrolyzed Whey Protein concentrate meaning it contains more ash and considerably more carbohydrate (lactose), a little fat, and some ash. The 520 is more hydrolyzed i.e. the average protein "size" is about 1/3 as small as the 1400 so for speed of absorbtion it is considerably better; it is also more bitter tasting.

If you have trouble digesting milk sugar aka lactose, go with the hydro 1400. If milk sugar isn't a problem, go with the 520.

If "good" taste is important, avoid BOTH and go with the Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate 5000.

pls take note when job speaks of taste..the 520 is indeed great but the taste will surprise you..not bad but totally different than u would expect. why not go with pepto..taste is much better imo and the performance is ..well...AWESOME

I'm on a budget. Anyway, I thought I might put in say 5-10% pepto along with the 520 (20%) in my mix. Would that be unecessary or overkill?

imo the pepto is the best and actually not that bad of a price considering the smaller amounts normally used by most people..10-20g per shake...it's potent.

I was going to give it a try in my PWO I'm going to order soon. 10% in the mix. I have been using casinates in the PWO for awhile and didn't know that a whey was better. So the pepto and some whey among other things are going in the next mix. I am eager to see how it works!

u wont be let down...it really is the ultimate imo
