Here is a report that is just in that will give you some insight on the cost of whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate.

WPC and WPI have been very tight all year due to high demand and short supply.
Part of the supply issue was that we were not receiving much in from Oceana or Europe.
We were relying primarily on domestic production and part of that was being exported.
The export of WPI 90 rose 9% and even though WPC80 dropped 8% the loss of all the
imports still left us short. I believe we can expect some relief in supply going into 2012
because we are seeing some offerings out of Oceana and Europe but it is still not
determined if it will be enough to relieve these prices. We will have to wait to find out
how strong world demand (mostly China) will be.

To summary. Lets hope that China does not like whey protein powders as much as the rest of the world. If they don't, we are not going to see any decreases in the price of whey protein powders and could even see an increase if Oceana and Europe do not increasing production!!!
