New Research This Week!!

I will be going to a big supply show tomorrow. So hopefully I should come home with some good info on new products, samples, and the lastest news on the supplement industry. Make sure you check this week for my update. If any one has anything specific they want me to look for or just stuff they are interested in let me know and post them here. I can get free samples for you and whatnot. Like joint stuff, bars, really anything...Im not making any promises but I will keep them in mind if I happen to come across what you asked for.

Have you ever encoutnered this product? I encountered a problem with the tendon in my left knee two years ago where it became inflamed and prevented me from doing any squat/leg work. It was very painful. I supplemented with Cissus for a couple months and two years later I have not experienced any discomfort or further pain. I had some very good success using it for my knee pain and there is some research suggesting it has anabolic properties too.

I've heard of it but it's uncertain how and why it works. The reports are mostly anacdotal. But I have my guesses.


A lot of "joint" herbs are for the most part, anti inflammation agents. That reduces pain, swelling and continued irritation. Cissus Quadrangularis also contains vitamin C which is still the best nutrient for cartilage repair and regeneration. I have no idea how or why it can be considered an anabolic nature but that claim can made for just about anything. Until I see some studies showing some sort of reasoning for that assumption I can't comment on it.


My guess it that it helped a little with the inflamation and over time, your injury healed itself. It's like accupuncture. It doesn't really do anything but people say after a few weeks/months, they felt better. Sure! The injury got better, but it had nothing to do with the accupuncture. Then again, less inflamation will allow for quicker healing and actual regeneration of tissue, so it's one of those things where if it works, it works!

i purchased 100 grams of cissus several months ago and have used 500 mg once a day for 1 month on the recommendation of a friend. so far..zero relief from pain in my right elbow or left shoulder. common aspirin has helped much more than cissus. just my 2 cents..djones......p.s. alex u mentioned samples..id certainly take a sample of some joint pain supplement.....thx again
