All hydrolyzed proteins taste bad. The quality of a hydrolyzed protein is pretty much solely judged on its molecular weight average (MW). the smaller the number the smaller the peptides are. di an tri peptides the final version of amino acids that enter into the blood steam weigh between 200 and 300 daltons.
I carry 3 hydrolyzed proteins.
hydrolyzed 1400
hydrolyzed 520
PeptoPro.
the 1400 has a MW of 1400 daltons...and so forth.
PeptoPro has an average MW of about 300 daltons.
All three of these products 95% of people cant drink straight. even with the flavoring.
Thus we only add very small amounts into whole food proteins. for example
80% CFm whey isolate
20% 1400.
The highest you want to use of a hydrolyzed protein is about 25%...any higher and you probably wont be able to drink the powder.
you will see alot of companies marketing hydrolyzed proteins. But none of the list MW average of the protein. Why? because they buy cheap hydrolyzed proteins that are slightly hydrolyzed and have high MW...5,000 to 10,000 daltons. they buy them because they know the average consumer will not drink bad tasting protein.
we do not carry beta alanine. I think its a fad supplement and secondly most if not all beta alanine is coming out of China. I dont buy my nutraceuticals from china. maybe if a quality USA manufacturer came online...but as of right now...beta alanine is made in China.
