customer story from Iraq

Here is an email I got from a customer that was in Iraq....

It all started on May 23rd 2007, we were in Iraq for 10 months going on 11. That night we were on patrol with another group from another F.O.B. (forward operating base) looking for IEDʼs that have already been detonated or just set in place to be detonated. We were on our way back to our F.O.B. from completing our mission when we came across 1500 lbs of HME (Home made explosive) an Insurgent saw us coming, at that time he pulled the Det cord across the road and we hit it. Our HMMWV (Humvee) flew 80ft from the blast site, nobody knows for sure how high we were. There were 3 of us in the vehicle at the time, only 2 of us made it out, with severe injuries, I broke my C2 in my neck, my L2 vertebrae is in pieces, my pelvis broke in half along with numerous fractures. I broke my jaw, my scapula my hip and my sinus cavity, I am not supposed to be able to walk at all, but I do, With a limp, but I do. I should have been a quadriplegic and a paraplegic, but by the grace of God I am not. I have two rods in my back and six screws holding my spine together. I have two screws holding my pelvis together and an internal fixater, they had me in a medically induced coma for 3 weeks so I could not move. I was In the Hospital for over 7 months. Now I go to therapy through the week and push myself in the gym as much as possible. I go to the gym 5 days a week for no more than an hour each time. There are sometimes I need to leave early cause I am hurting, but I try to tuff it out and stay. I have been ordering through Protein Factory since before I even joined the Army. It helped me reach 240lbs 4.8 percent body fat. I even ordered it while I was in Iraq to keep my results. I also got a lot of other soldiers to order it as well to make improvements on themselves. I take it now for breakfast, after workout and late dinner. I feel it has helped me in my daily recovery and getting me back into physical shape. Not the way I used to be, but as much as I can.
